In the Court of the Crimson King ist das Debütalbum der britischen Rockband King Crimson. Es erschien im Oktober 1969 und gilt als stilprägend für den später sogenannten Progressive Rock der 1970er Jahre. Die Komposition unterschied sich wesentlich vom musikalischen Mainstream der damaligen Zeit. Das Album zeichnet sich durch häufigen Mellotron-Einsatz, lange und virtuose Instrumentalteile, rhythmische und harmonische Komplexität sowie surreale Texte aus.
